Meet Hilda Byemelwa Nkabe,
Founder and Executive Director of a Non-Profit Organization (NGO), LUKIZA AUTISM FOUNDATION TANZANIA (LuAF) registered in Tanzania in March 2020. She is also the Founder and organizer of the first and biggest Autism Awareness Half Marathon in Africa – RUN 4 AUTISM TANZANIA HALF MARATHON.
She is a proud mother of two teenage boys, one of whom has Autism.
Ms. Nkabe is a Mental Health Ambassador, awarded by the Ministry of Health Tanzania – 2022. She was recognized by the Pan African Women Economic Summit 2022 for her Outstanding Support in Autism. She is a winner of the CEO Not for profit of the year 2022 from the Top 100 Executives List Tanzania.
Lukiza Autism Foundation is the loudest voice concerning Autism in Tanzania and it has distinguished its work as more outward-facing in improving the quality of life of individuals with Autism in Tanzania.
